Meet Our Administration
Principal - Mr. Johnny Spears

Mr. Spears is a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He attended Aiken County Schools and graduated from Aiken High School. He attended USC-Aiken, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He earned an Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Natural Sciences in 2002†and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2009 from the University of South Carolina. He has taught middle level Science and Social Studies at Schofield Middle and Kennedy Middle, where he also served as Assistant Principal.
He is married to Erin Spears, who teaches at Gloverville Elementary School. Together, they have four children. When he is not at Leavelle McCampbell, Mr. Spears likes to spend time with family. In his spare time, he likes to cook different types of food, watch college football, and tries as much as possible to get outside and fish.†


Assistant Principal - Mrs. Kela Sharpton

Mrs. Sharpton is a graduate of Aiken Countyís own Silver Bluff High School. She went on to earn her Bachelorís Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina in Aiken, a Masterís Degree from Southern Wesleyan University, and an Education Specialist in Administration/Supervision Degree from Augusta State University. Her teaching career includes assignments at Paul Knox Middle School, Windsor Spring Elementary School, and Jackson Middle School. Mrs. Sharpton has taught a wide variety of classes including English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Gifted & Talented, Inclusion and Reading/Writing/Algebra Enrichment.

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her children, watching baseball, photography, cake decorating, crafting, reading, and reading just about anything she can get her hands on!†
